TYPES OF PLANS

Different health insurance plans we help with

The type of health insurance that is right for you will depend on your individual needs and budget. You've got to consider all the variable factors like age, health status, your budget, and your preferred network of providers. Here are the different plan options we can assist with.

Health maintenance organizations (HMOs): HMOs require you to see doctors and other providers who are part of the plan's network. This can help you save money on out-of-pocket costs.

Preferred provider organizations (PPOs): PPOs give you more flexibility in choosing doctors and other providers. However, you may pay more out-of-pocket costs for services outside of the plan's network.

Point-of-service (POS) plans: POS plans combine features of HMOs and PPOs. You can see doctors and other providers in the plan's network without a referral, but you may pay more if you see someone outside of the network.

High-deductible health plans (HDHPs) with a health savings account (HSA): HDHPs have high deductibles, but lower premiums. You can save money on your premiums by contributing to an HSA, which is a tax-advantaged account that you can use to pay for qualified medical expenses.

Catastrophic health plans: These plans are designed for people who don’t expect a need for frequent care but want the financial protection if something major happens.  These plans have very high deductibles which keeps the premiums low.
