Meet Mark Alimisis
Mark’s experience in the insurance industry began before Mission Oaks was established. His success in the field eventually led him to work with a national insurance carrier, where he gained firsthand insight into how insurance companies and policies operate.
But Mark preferred working directly with the people those policies were designed to serve, and he returned to the family agency in 2009. Today, Mark specializes in Medicare insurance and helps clients understand their coverage choices, evaluate their options, and navigate questions that arise after enrollment.
His experience on both the carrier and brokerage sides of the industry gives him a practical understanding of how coverage works beyond the sales process. For Mark, choosing a policy is only the beginning. Making sure clients continue to feel supported once that coverage is in place is just as important.
Meet Barbara Lasher
Barbara brings something uncommon to the insurance industry: three decades of firsthand experience in critical-care nursing. Before becoming a licensed insurance agent, Barbara spent 30 years caring for patients and seeing how healthcare decisions, hospital systems, and medical conditions affect people in real life.
That experience gives her a different perspective when helping clients evaluate health insurance. She understands that a plan isn’t simply a premium and deductible. Provider access, benefits, medical needs, and how coverage works when care is actually required can matter just as much.
At Mission Oaks, Barbara also plays an important role in customer service and claim resolution, helping clients work through questions and concerns when they need assistance.
Her combination of healthcare experience and insurance knowledge reflects what Mission Oaks is built around: helping people understand coverage in practical, human terms.
Meet Alison Law
Alison represents the second generation of the Mission Oaks family agency and brings more than 20 years of insurance experience to her work with clients.
Before joining Mission Oaks, Alison worked in Small Group direct sales for a national insurance carrier. That experience gave her extensive knowledge of the group health insurance market, carrier processes, and the challenges employers face when selecting employee benefits.
In 2008, she left the carrier side of the industry and joined Mission Oaks. The reason was simple: she wanted the opportunity to build lasting relationships with the people and businesses she served.
Today, Alison works with individuals, families and employer groups to compare health insurance options, understand the differences between plans and make decisions with greater confidence.
Many of the businesses she serves have worked with her for more than a decade—relationships built on continuity, responsiveness and having an advocate they know they can call.
